Garlic and Butter Flatbread is soft, golden, and packed with rich flavor from melted butter and fresh garlic. This easy flatbread recipe comes together quickly with simple pantry ingredients and works perfectly as a side, snack, or base for wraps and dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or plain yogurt)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  2. Add yogurt and stir until a soft dough forms. Knead lightly for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into a thin round.
  4. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and puffed.
  5. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush generously over warm flatbreads.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Keep cooked flatbreads wrapped in a towel to stay soft. Brush with garlic butter while hot for maximum flavor absorption. Cheesy option: Add grated mozzarella or Parmesan to the garlic butter. Herb swap: Try oregano, basil, or rosemary instead of parsley. No yogurt? Sour cream works as a 1:1 substitute. Storage: Store cooled flatbread in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheating: Warm in a skillet or oven for best texture.
