  • 2 chicken breasts, pounded thin
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip chicken in beaten eggs.
  4. Coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden on both sides.
  6. Place chicken in a baking dish.
  7. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve.

Notes

Use fresh mozzarella and a light marinara sauce for a more authentic Italian-style flavor.
