Knob Sandwich Recipe

A hearty knob sandwich made with crusty round bread, layered with savory meats, cheese, and fresh vegetables for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 round crusty loaf (knob bread or similar)
  • 200g roasted turkey or chicken
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or mustard
  • 46 pickle slices (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the round loaf horizontally into top and bottom halves.
  2. Layer roasted turkey or chicken evenly on the bottom half.
  3. Add cheddar cheese slices on top of the meat.
  4. Layer shredded lettuce and tomato slices.
  5. Add pickles if using.
  6. Spread mayonnaise or mustard on the top half of the bread.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Close the sandwich and press gently.
  9. Cut into portions and serve immediately.

Notes

Lightly toast the bread for extra crunch. Customize fillings with your favorite meats, cheeses, or vegetables.
