Ingredients

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tsp raw honey (optional)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat water until just below boiling.
  2. In a mug, mix turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  3. Pour hot water over the spice mix. Stir well until combined.
  4. Let cool slightly, then add lemon juice and honey if using.
  5. Sip warm, or chill and pour over ice for a refreshing version.

Notes

For better curcumin absorption, don’t skip the black pepper. Add a splash of coconut oil or oat milk for a smoother texture. Shake in a jar to mix easily. Store extra in the fridge for 2–3 days.
