Ingredients

  • 1 small knob fresh ginger (peeled and grated)
  • 1 orange or ½ grapefruit (peeled and segmented)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ banana (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 cup water or coconut water
  • Ice cubes (optional, for chilling)

Instructions

  1. Add the spinach or kale to a blender.
  2. Toss in the grated ginger, citrus segments, lemon juice, and banana.
  3. Pour in the water or coconut water.
  4. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add ice if desired and blend again.
  6. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes
